As we are now in well into September, we really can’t even believe that August just flew right past us. August is typically one of the busiest months for us each year, as there are lots of important annual meetings we have.
One of them is for the two leadership teams of our ministry (Base Leadership Team and Ministry Leader Team). They meet bi-annually for planning meetings and there is always one in August. Important decisions by seeking God and planning goes on during this meeting for the future of our ministry.
Then after that we hosted our national staff conference so about 300 YWAM staff from all over Cambodia came to Battambang for 4 days to worship, celebrate, learn and pray together what God has for our whole movement in Cambodia. What a wonderfully, refreshing time to worship in unity together!
Worshipping together at our YWAM/U of N national staff conference. Encouraged to see so many young and old Cambodian staff that are impacting to bring change to one nation in one generation.
Finally, at the end of August, Garth has YWAM global leadership meetings that he attends annually, and this year he had the privilege of inviting some of our emerging Cambodian young leaders. So we had 4 of them fly with our family to Singapore for one week! What a week where much was learned from our wider family globally as we worshipped and listened to God together with about 400 YWAMers from 65 different nations of the world.
In Singapore, praying for our country of Cambodia, for the kingdom of Jesus to bring change in one nation in one generation.
With a sliver of our global family of YWAM in Singapore.
Thankful for continual opportunities to share about what Jesus is doing in Cambodia. Here Garth is with our Cambodian friends preaching at a Singaporean church.
A Peek into our last month through pictures:
Worshipping together and playing games at the Youth Camp we hosted for 3 days . Garth had the privilege of sharing to the youth, influencing them to be a part of bringing change to one nation in one generation.
Ballerina Lyla started a dance class with a few little girls that are daughters of our staff. There is a family on staff with us that has a teenage daughter teaching the class. Lyla loves to dance!
A peek into the life of a working mom…Gunner going to the bank with me to take care of some finances for our ministry. The bank tellers in there love it when I bring my kids in, and when the kids don’t come they scold me and tell me to always bring them!
Graduation night for our 5th Titus Project, as they just completed 2+ months of going to remote villages in Cambodia to preach the Gospel and train local preachers about the Bible
Our kids getting their blood drawn at the local provincial hospital for a well health check-up. Gunner reassuring Lyla that the shot is not bad:)
At a recent gathering of our base, including staff, students and volunteers. So privileged to be a part of this community to transform one nation in one generation.
Gunner getting his haircut at the local barber shop.
These exceptional Cambodian leaders (and one Vietnamese) are the fruit of your prayers and support for our family! They are multiplying disciples of Jesus to impact one nation in one generation.
WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR ALL OF YOU being a part of our team!Love, Garth, Caroline, Lyla and Gunner-who is asleep in the baby carrier in this picture
